What is the Transgender House?

The Transgender house is a symbol of visibility, love and support for the transgender community. It is part of the Equality House property and stands directly across from the Westboro Baptist Church. The house was painted the colors of the transgender flag in June 2016.

What is the Transgender House used for?

The Transgender House is a symbol of visibility and support for the transgender community. 40% of transgender individuals will experience suicidal ideation in their lives. Visibility and community support are crucial to reducing this statistic.

Planting Peace donates use of the Transgender House to Capital City Equality, a nonprofit organization that provides resources to LGBT people in Kansas.
