It is estimated that 80 percent of Bolivian children are infested with worm parasites that eat an average of 20 to 40 percent of a child’s nutritional intake each day. To combat and help curb life-threatening malnutrition rates in the country, Planting Peace is deworming 800,000 Bolivian children.
