India Orphanage

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world."  -Anne Frank

India is a vast country full of culture, history, and people from many backgrounds.  Unfortunately, India also has a prolific population of poverty stricken individuals who are swept under the rug by an antiquated caste system. Shockingly, India has an estimated 15 million children that are homeless, significantly more than anywhere in the world. In April 2010, Planting Peace partnered with Global Orphanages Inc., to encourage a positive change in this struggling country.  We are proud to announce that our first home has taken in 10 children, ages 3-9 that have come from many areas around the country. Most of these children are from downtrodden slums, constantly shifting places to stay with random people or distant relatives.
